Kelechi Iheanacho joins the Super Eagles team ahead of the AFCON, bringing the total number of players in camp to 23.

About twenty-three Super Eagles players have reported to camp for the Africa Cup of Nations, including Leicester City attacker Kelechi Iheanacho.

Jamilu Collins (SC Padeborn 07, Germany); Tyrone Ebuehi (Venezia FC, Italy); Joseph Ayodele-Aribo (Glasgow Rangers, Scotland); Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal FC, Spain); and Odion Jude Ighalo (Villarreal FC, Spain) are among those expected at camp (Al-Shabab Riyadh, Saudi Arabia).
Nigeria will compete in Group D alongside Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau, with the event beginning on Sunday, January 9.

Frank Onyeka (Brentford FC, England); Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England); Chidera Ejuke (CSKA Moscow, Russia); Kelechi Nwakali (CSKA Moscow, Russia) are among the midfielders (SD Huesca, Spain).
